Jon also bought a piece of art for TJ's room. The below picture is of the artist with his work which is a watercolor of the mountain range here in Almaty.
Also, people have been asking, so wanted to let you know TJ's birthday is September 3. He will be 2 years old. And, mom, the sunset picture was taken at around 9, it doesn't stay as light in Almaty as we are an hour ahead of Uralsk. As Jon said when we flew here. "We're flying the wrong direction." Here we are further east, we're about a 3-hour drive to China and in Uralsk we were about a 3-hour drive to Russia. Jon wanted to make a run for the border but our driver didn't seem quite so enthused.

Catching up on your blog now that we are home from Italy. We are thrilled that you had such a successful week. I've continued to read your blog throughout your trip, and have rejoiced with you and your family at each completed step in your process. I have also been wondering about TJ's birthdate and guessed pretty accurately that he was just about the same age as our grandson Shane and it turns out he is - almost to the day. Shane will turn 2 on Sept. 5. So there is yet one more playmate for your adorable son! I'm sure you are very anxious to get TJ home to NJ and I wish you a very safe trip back.
