We're so excited! Congratulations! Welcome to the family, TJ. In the middle of the night I awoke out of a deep sleep and thought, "You must be with the judge now." I looked at the clock and it was 2 a.m. How eerie it was to see your post that you became officially parents at 2 a.m. Mothers have that instinct.

TJ, we can't wait to meet you, and Lisa and John, let the parental pride and joy and general delirium in your beautiful son begin! (not that it hadn't already, months ago when you first heard of TJ).
We are so happy for you and grateful to witness the "birth" online. Barb, your posting about the 2 a.m. wakeup gave me chills and a lump in my throat.

TJ:
We have a lot of work to do. Call us as soon as you are stateside.
We begin by teaching you the art of the arm fart. You're never too young to get started.
Then it's "the pretend to go to sleep and then play in your room so quietly no one notices until 10:00 PM" trick.
We follow that with a three day workshop focusing on making your mother nuts. (It's too easy to get dads crazy, so we skip that. Ususally, all you have to do is "throw like a girl" everytime the old man busts out the wiffle ball.)
Oh. And watch out for Aunts with too much lipstick and playdates with kids who watch too much PBS.
You will do great. We will send our digits as soon as we learn numbers higher than 3.

I learned of this blogsite about 3 days after it was started. Of course, I knew from Kate about the adoption and we started following everyday. Kate also passed the site along to Nidhi. They both say hi and congratulations. I have been amazed at the journey and am grateful that you have allowed others to watch this great event in your lives. The love that is evident between you both and TJ is only matched by the love you have from his grandparents, relatives and close friends. Your support group is wonderful. I am so happy for you and all of them. Of course it is also been evident from day 1 almost that Mrs. Miller now has two children (yes, that means you Mr. Miller, but Kate tells me that is the way you are). I only hope that you will post at least one picture of your homecoming so we can share in the joyful tears and cheers that will certainly accompany your arrival.
